Marianne fell in love with yoga while living in Chicago and working 60-hour weeks in the cutthroat world of advertising.
The practice quickly became her medicine: a nectar to soften her heart, reconnect to her breath, and replenish her body, mind and soul. When she's in tune with the world around her and fully present, she lives a more purposeful and meaningful life - especially right now, in the midst of societal change that has caused life to be more challenging, she finds great comfort in yoga.
Marianne came to Laughing Lotus two weeks after moving to San Francisco during a rainy December. The cheerful colors and warm lobby were a refuge from the never-ending grey skies and storms. She felt instantly welcomed by the friendly Lotus community and fell in love with the playful and meaningful sequencing of Lotus Flow. In her own classes, Marianne offers students inspiration through multi-sensory storytelling, soulful heart language, an ever-changing playlist, loving assists and a dynamic flow. She hopes to empower students so that they leave her class feeling better. She's ever grateful for ALL of her teachers at Laughing Lotus (especially Jasmine Tarkeshi, her ongoing mentor) - whose unique life experiences show up in their diverse teaching styles.
