As a neighbor of Lotus in the Mission, Enrique remembers when the cool orange building arrived on the scene. He’d think daily how he used to do yoga regularly and really wanted to get back into it, and the studio’s opening felt like a sign.
His first class blew his mind - really sweet people, a fun spirit, funky music and creative, dancey flow. His next class touched him really deeply, and he knew he’d found a home at this special place. Not long after that, he wanted to be the guy at the front of the class sharing his love of yoga with others in his own unique way.
He enjoys sharing his passion for the practice with any and all who want to join him. Enrique draws from a background in dance and theatre and seeks to challenge and inspire his students with enthusiasm, humor and kindness. He believes that yoga is a fantastic tool for dissolving limitations and uncovering the brave, wise, compassionate warrior within. His classes involve mantra, pranayama, music, meditation, laughter, and a drop or two of sweat.
When not on the mat, Enrique is pursuing his Masters’ Degree in Social Work and will finish in 2017.
