Absolute Beginners Series A three week series,especially designed for our newest yogis! These classes build on each other, creating a foundation from which you can spring into a Lotus Flow 1 class. The course includes an introduction into yoga philosophy, yoga breathing and meditation, and of course the basic poses! Even if you've been practicing for awhile, this is a great way to reconnect with the fundamentals of the practice - and an opportunity to grab that friend that you've been trying to get to try yoga and come with them!
Lotus Flow 1 and 1/2 - Our signature class incorporates creative vinyasa sequencing, attention to alignment, breath awareness, meditation and chanting to build strength, increase flexibility, calm the mind and open the heart. Experience this celebrated and unique style only at Laughing Lotus. (New students: this is the class for you, after taking Lotus Basics, Intro to Yoga, or the Beginners Series.) For beginning and intermediate students.
Lotus Flow 2 and 2/3 - Building on the Lotus Flow 1/2 class, this class incorporates more challenging postures, including inversions and arm balances, at a more vigorous tempo to build strength and grace. Best for intermediate and advanced students.
Power Lotus - Get a great sweat and build stamina and strength in this challenging vinyasa class. This dynamic class focuses on inversions and arm balances and will leave you invigorated and inspired. Best for intermediate and advanced students.
Happy Hour - The best after work work-out to clear the mind, this fast-paced hour long class leads you through invigorating postures to build a detoxifying sweat, culminating in a blissed-out savasana. All levels are welcome.
Morning Flow - This class is an invigorating and rhythmic practice that warms the body, calms the mind, and opens the heart. Suitable for beginning students, as well as intermediate and advanced practitioners.
Baby & Me Lotus Flow - This one hour Lotus Flow class is for mom, dad or caretaker to move, breathe and experience the many gifts of Yoga with babies up to one year in a supportive, nurturing and joyful environment. Classes will incorporate your baby in your yoga practice and you will both leave with an open heart and a piece of mind.
Morning Meditation - Enjoy this 30 minute session before or after yoga class, or all on its own. This quiet, contemplative practice is the perfect start to the day. Taught in the tradition of Shambhala Buddhism. Suitable for all levels.
Morning Mantras - Dive into the Yoga of sound, Nada Yoga and explore the practice of kirtan, call and response chanting. Through chanting we harmonize different frequencies in our bodies, tune the chakras, and balance right and left hemisphere of the brain, awakening positive vibrations from the inside out. Singing together in the key of "we" first thing in the morning is a wonderful way to start your day! All are welcome. By donation
Pranayama - This new class is dedicated to the practice of Pranayama (breath extension). Often a breathing practices will be instructed in a Laughing Lotus Flow class, yet this special class will give the practitioner a time and place to be given one on one breath instruction. Each week the class will be lead through a set of breathing practices which aims to extend the amount of life nourishing prana housed in the body thereby supporting optimum health in the body and mind.
Community Donation - This class is donation based (recommended donation of $7-$16) and proceeds go to our Loves Saves the Day program, which sponsors a different charity or non-profit each month. Taught by Blossoming Teachers (recent Yoga School graduates trained in Lotus Flow). Suitable for all levels.
Candlelight Yoga - Our signature Lotus Flow, with warm candlelit ambiance to encourage a more internal practice. De-stress, detoxify and relax.
Restorative - Restore body, mind, and spirit through this gentle, supported practice. Move consciously through postures that are held for longer periods of time, using props (blankets, blocks, and straps) for support. The best class to calm the mind and leave feeling rejuvenated. Suitable for all levels.
Gentle - A combination class that includes slow vinyasa flow, breathing practices and restorative postures. This class is ideal for anyone wanting a nurturing, healing class. Suitable for all levels.
Lotus Alignment Lab - Signature Lotus Flow, but with extra alignment guidance. This one hour intensive is great for anyone who wants to improve alignment in their practice. Led with extra alignment cues and hands-on adjustments. Suitable for all levels, but new students should start with a Lotus Basics class, Intro to Yoga class, or Beginners Series. Offered twice per month.
Lotus Yin - Welcome to the quieter side of Lotus Flow! Lotus Yin is our newest class combining gentle flowing movement with the deep and divine inner practice of yin yoga; long held seated postures that release tension in the connective tissues of the body. Balance the energetic system, increase flexibility and look deep within. Suitable for all levels and a beautiful compliment to a more dynamic practice.
Friday Night Live - Practice yoga to LIVE music with different local DJs or musicians each week! This class is an energetic and fun practice, suitable for all levels.
Kirtan - Join our vibrant community for the yoga of devotional singing, chanting and celebrating the divine through mantras and sound. Everyone is welcome!
